The game is generally Texas Hold'Em. The initial buy-in is $20.00. You can re-buy or add-on for another $20.00, if you wish, (a) if you bust, (b) if after one hour your stack is less than $5.00, or (c) after two hours. There are no antes; blinds are 10¢ and 20¢ and do not change. We play a pot-limit game, meaning the maximum raise is the amount of the pot after the raiser calls any bet in front of him.
We will occasionally play a "Dealer's Choice" game, meaning the deal passes around the table, and the dealer calls whatever game he fancies. If he can explain it, we'll play it. For "Dealer's Choice" games, we use limit betting - the maximum bet or raise is 50¢, with a maximum of three raises per betting round. There are antes for these games, the amount of which is set by the dealer for each game.
In any event, poker skill is optional, and possibly detrimental - we play to have a good time.
Food and non-alcoholic drinks are provided by the house, but you are welcome to bring something else if you wish. Bring beer or whatever you're drinking; we generally share pretty freely.
